Panasonic TV repair across Chicagoland.

Panasonic stopped selling TVs in the US in 2016, but the Viera plasmas they shipped before then are still in living rooms across Chicago — and they’re still worth fixing when the failure is repairable. We service legacy Panasonic plasmas, LED Vierras, and the imported newer Panasonic OLEDs in-home. Flat-rate diagnostic, written quote before any work begins, and a 90-day warranty on every repair.

Panasonic issues we see most often in Chicago

Some failures are common across all TV brands; others are specific to Panasonic. Here are the ones our techs handle weekly:

  • Plasma Y-Sustain or Z-Sustain board failure. The classic Panasonic plasma failure mode — vertical bars, flickering, or no picture. The Y-Sustain boards (TNPA-series) are still findable on the used-parts market for most ViERA generations.
  • Plasma won’t turn on / 7-blink code. Common on later TC-P series. Power supply or X-buffer issue. We diagnose the blink code before quoting.
  • LED Vierra power board failure. The TX/TC-L series LEDs have well-known capacitor failure patterns on the power board. Repairable in-home.
  • Black screen with sound on plasma. Y-Sustain or T-Con failure. Both repairable when parts are available.
  • OLED Panasonic uniformity / panel issues. The newer Panasonic OLEDs (sold in Europe and grey-market in US) use LG OLED panels; failure modes are similar to LG OLEDs. We service them when we can source parts.
  • Sudden shutdown on plasma. Thermal cutoff or backlight-equivalent (Y-Sustain) protection. Diagnosable and often repairable.
  • HDMI ports not recognizing devices. Board-level repair on the input panel.
  • Audio issues / channel imbalance. Speaker driver or audio board.

Panasonic models we service

Effectively all of them. We work on:

  • Legacy LED (Viera) — TC-L series.
  • Newer Panasonic OLED — JZ, LZ, MZ generations (LG panel-based, imported).
  • 3D Plasma sets — serviced when parts are available; we’ll be honest about whether the math works.

About cracked Panasonic screens
