Hisense TV repair across Chicagoland.

Hisense has been the fastest-growing TV brand in the US, taking real market share with the ULED mini-LED lineup — the U8, U7, and U6 series put premium-class picture in homes for half the price of the equivalent Samsung. We service the full Hisense lineup in-home across Chicago and suburbs. Flat-rate diagnostic, written quote before any work begins, and a 90-day warranty on every repair.

Hisense issues we see most often in Chicago

Some failures are common across all TV brands; others are specific to Hisense. Here are the ones our techs handle weekly:

  • Backlight LED strip failure. The dense mini-LED zones on U8 and U7 sets have many LEDs — more LEDs means more that can fail. Replacing the strip is repairable in-home.
  • Won’t turn on / no power. Usually the power board. Hisense power supplies share many parts with TCL designs; we’ve seen most of the common variants.
  • Google TV / Android TV freezing. Sometimes the main board, sometimes a firmware state issue. We try the software path first before recommending a board swap.
  • Black screen with sound. Picture goes black but Google TV audio plays. Usually a T-Con or backlight issue, both repairable.
  • Half the screen darker (vertical band). A failed LED backlight strip on one side. Common on U6 and older U7 after 2–4 years.
  • Dark zones on mini-LED panels. When local-dimming zones fail you see persistent dark spots. Usually a backlight driver IC on the U8 and U7 series.
  • HDMI port not recognizing devices. A specific HDMI input fails. Board-level repair on the input panel.
  • Sudden shutdown / restart loops. Backlight protection trip, or a failing main board / SoC. Both repairable.

About cracked Hisense screens

If the panel is physically cracked or has impact damage, replacement panels for Hisense sets cost — almost without exception — more than buying a new TV of the same size. We’ll save you the service call and explain your options on the phone.
